About GrapeSeek

GrapeSeek was founded almost one year after Yahoo as a directory of grape growing and winemaking resources.
Our banner network helped sites such as and Robin Garr's WineLoversPage to become more successful.

When one of our key founding members, George Meade passed away unexpectedly we abandonned the project.

We recently decided to revamp our sites and keep our grape growing information and photos online as a free resource for grape growers and winemaking enthusiasts.

We also host the GrowWine listserver for the late Larry Paterson (LittleFatWino).

Vineyard Establishment Resources

Lon Rombough was a dear friend, mentor and partner thruout the life of GrapeSeek. He was possibly the greatest American viticulturist of our time, and dedicated his life to freely helping grape growers around the world. His love, passion and knowledge make his book one of the best ever written.

The publisher created an inferior Hardcover version, but the Softcover version is much more durable.

I must admit there is a touch of prejudice when I highly recommend this one, as well as Sunlight Into Wine and the Compendium of Grape Diseases, although the Compendium should have had more photos...
